Settling with AUM

It's been a while trying to take further step toward the master degree, although I was confused between MBA and ITC, and whether to go for KMBS or AUM when it comes to MBA. I spent some time thinking and rethinking! Things started to become clear enough for me. I made up my mind and decided to enroll in AUM.

I went there for the interview, submitted the application with some other papers, and paid the registration fees. Yesterday I received a call from them to collect and sign the agreement paper and pay the enrollment deposit. I was so excited and confused at the same time! Excited because I will learn something new. Confused because MBA wasn't my first choice and still I am not sure to what would be my overall performance :(

Still I have to submit both TOEFL and GMAT. didn't schedule the exam yet! but hopefully will do it ASAP.

Joining the business school will never change or alter my interest as an IT person, I believe it will add some value to my career future as well as extending my knowledge and skills in the business filed, which may contributes later on my own business success. However, I will keep updating my self with tech every now and then! and practice what I've learned.

Self Challenge II

This would be my second chance to challenge my self on a bothering issue! When ever I think about something, the simplest thing for me to do is to put my aims in front of me, and set my concentration on it, until I reach them one by one. I would be really patient and wait even if it takes long time! The important thing is to reach my goal and make my dreams come to reality. Now since I am able to achieve my goals, why I am finding it hard to make a serious decision that is really worth the challenge!? Every night when I am in my bed and just before sleeping I think about this issue. And between me and my self, I say "Tomorrow I will take a step further toward this issue". When I wake up in the next day all the serious thoughts just vanish and disappear! This time I will give my self a second chance, and I hope god will give me the strength to do it. If I did it! this would be the best challenge ever I made in my life, and I would owe my self a good gift :).

Preparing for MBA

It's been a while shifting from one major to the other when it comes to study for Master degree! I am so in love with Computers and Technology , IT was my major in the University. The problem that most of the IT jobs are limited and more likely available for guys only! Many people suggested that I should go for the MBA instead of having master degree in Technology or Computer Science. I was planning to attend Maastricht business school for the MBA, I was fearing not to success in Business as I didn't study any business subject before! so I changed my plan to have my master degree in Information Technology "MIT", but unfortunately we don't have this program in Kuwait, instead I would go to the state where there are many Universities that offer the MIT, but if I am going to study there I have to quit my job :( and because I am working in the private sector it is not that easy to apply for an educational leave!! Recently I decided to go for the MBA. I heard about the AUM "American University of Middle East" which is in affiliation with Purdue University in the United State, it will open soon in Kuwait and will start their first semester on October, and in order to apply for the MBA in AUM I need a total score of 55o for the TOFEL and I need to have the GMAT exam as well, for the GMAT they are not asking for a specific score, but they do ask for the GMAT itself.

Guess I should prepare my self from now and schedule the exams.

Flying with Jazeera Airways

I went to Bahrain with my friend to check their University.. and it was the first time for us to try the Jazeera Airways, it was cool unlike Kuwait airways! I find Jazeera airline much better, the chair was much comfortable, and the service was much better! we spent only one day there, flying at 7 Am from Kuwait to Bahrain and returning the next day at 9 Am back to Kuwait from Bahrain, there was a bad traffic in Bahrain in this day! We spent the day almost in the University, we left the Uni at 7 PM which was located in a place near to "madenat Eisa" heading to Manama city to search for a hotel, we didn't even book the hotel room since we arrive Bahrain, the only thing we did when we arrived the airport is to rent a car and go to the university.

The traffic was too bad when we reached Manama, couldn't even find a hotel! until we found one near to us while we are inside the bad traffic, we rent the room at 8 pm and couldn't even think of going out for dinner because of the traffic, we spent the time in the hotel, having our dinner "actually it was lunch and dinner :(" in the hotel restaurant and then set the clock alarm to 5 AM and sleep since we have an early morning flight!

Behind the curtains

There are two views behind the curtains, one from the inside and the other from the outside.. when I am in my room I am totally away from the outside world! who knows what's going on behind those windows! sometimes we need to be alone specially when it comes for taking a serious decision! I need a calm place away from people to concentrate and have a second thought! sometime it may take us one hour to make a decision and other times it could take a couple of days depending on the situation itself!

MAKI & Ghost Whisperer

I have placed an order as usual from MAKI "Spicy seafood & Mushroom fried rice"and "Prawn Plum Sauce" while watching my favorite TV showtime "Ghost whisperer".
Ghost whisperer is one of my favorite TV Show Series, I have receives it last week from Amazon. Season 2 is similar to season 1 except that Melinda Gorden have been experiencing unusual ghosts that they can reside in dead human body so people can see them and talk to them. However both seasons 1 and 2 are cool and worth watching.

Self Challenge

It is time to Challenge my self .. I used to put my aims in front of me and act patiently till I reach them .. example of achieved aims:

1- losing weight.

2- saving money.

3- pursuing a higher degree.

4- buying a luxury car.

I'd always ask my self since I can plan for my aim very well.. why I am not able to Challenge my self?!! I had a bad habit(don't get me wrong!) that I couldn't get rid of it since long time ago.. the question is why? why I couldn't ? is it hard for me to practise my self not to do it? is it because I used to do it? or maybe It is out of my control?

Today I was thinking seriously, and between me and my self I decided to S T O P !

Hope I mean it this time! and I wish I'll never get back to this bad habit again!

Awful thoughts

Many of us have been experiencing bad moments in their life.. we call it experience as we learn from our experience so we won't fall in the same fault again.. in my life I had a bad experience and fortunately I get rid from all those bad experiences long time ago.. it took a quite long time for the pain to be healed .. but after all you will leave normal life with caution not to fall in the same trap again!

I don't wana be specific in this issue .. I don't even like to think about it! but the thing that I had some bad time last night... I went to bed late at night and suddenly every single bad thoughts came back to me!! it was like a horrible movie rewinding inside my mind.

I was terrible.. amxious and hectic! I was like ohh god not again.. why now!.. I don't wana remember.. I don't wana live that moment.. but couldn't stop thinking! couldn't sleep at all.

I was filled with anger.. I felt my head exploding.. Suddenly my mobile start beeping I had a message! I didn't even want to read the message! it was 1:30 at night.. for a moment I got paused from the bad thoughts "who is messaging me at this time?" I graped my mobile to read the message, hoping that it wasn't something related to what I was thinking about! Thank god it was a forward message from one of my colleague, after reading the message I slept immediately :) The next day I skipped my work and spent the entire time sleeping Z z z z z z z.

My enduring problems with shipment issue!

My problems with shipment issues are continuous! I don't know who should I blame, do I have to blame the shipment service or the clearance department in Kuwait? I have placed my order to be shipped within two days using the DHL delivery service.. My order status was as the following:

I thought if I used a service like DHL my stuff would reach to me within two days.. but I didn't even imagine that it takes more other two days in clearance department!! which in total 4 days!! what if I was using the normal mail!! god only knows when I will be receiving my stuff.

My New Car

Finally I bought my dream car :) after waiting for the right moment to get it.. I wanted to have this car without monthly payment or any interest.. in fact if I am not able to buy this car I won't have it at all!! I don't encourage people to spend like 3 to 5 years paying 300 to 400 KD every month, with 3000 Kd interest or maybe more!

Addicted to Coffee

I wish there is a caffeine capsules that replaces the excessive drink of coffee! I can't open my eyes in the morning, I can't concentrate really well in work, if I didn't have my morning coffee. It's been a while being addicted to coffee. this habit started with me long time ago. However, if I am in the middle of paper work or something that really need my full attention double shots of espresso would be a must!

My sweet Duck

Since I was a child I loved the yellow duck! couldn't stop loving them even when I grow up, acting like a child! they are with me everywhere in the bathroom, work and my room. I don't know why but they give me the feeling of comfort and normally I feel calm when they are here with me! Even my Mom, one day she was holding something behind her, and she asked me guess what I brought for you, I was like what mom show me what are you hiding behind you! and then I realise it was my favorite duck.
